DO NOT BE DETERRED! Your vote matters!

Vote Early In-Person — NOW at the Registrar's Office, 571 Front Street, Lovingston, Mon. - Fri. 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. Same hours Sat., Oct. 24 & Sat., Oct. 31. 

But if you applied to vote by mail (absentee), mail your return postage paid ballot ASAP. OR bring it to the registrar’s office unopened in exchange to Vote Early. OR, drop your completed mail ballot in the official secure drop box there anytime.

Vote Absentee by Mail — Mail your ballot back in the postage paid envelope provided ASAP! Or, if you’d rather not use the USPS to return your ballot, a secure Drop Box will be at the Registrar’s Office beginning Sept 18. Or drop off your ballot at a secure official Drop Box at your polling place Nov 3. 

Voting Absentee (by mail) is easy and open to everyone.  But you have to meet these deadlines:

·      Oct 13: Last day to register to vote or make changes. www.elections.virginia.gov/voterinformation

·      Oct 23: Last day to request an absentee ballot. No excuse. *No witness needed!
Oct 31: Last day to Vote Early and In Person.

·      Nov 3: Last day to postmark a mail-in (absentee) ballot. Or drop off ballot at our registrar’s office or your polling location (by 7 p.m.).

* If you believe you may not safely have a witness present while completing the absentee ballot for the November 3, 2020 Election, you are not required to have a witness present or have a witness sign your ballot envelope. Your ballot will not be rejected due to a missing witness signature. These instructions override any instructions on your ballot envelopes regarding witness signatures.
