Three Voting Options

Before you decide on your voting plan, make sure you are registered to vote and that it’s current. Deadline to register or make changes is Tues. Oct. 13.

Voting Options for the November Elections:

1.    Vote by Mail (No excuse needed. You CAN request NOW. Deadline is Oct. 23.)

2.   Vote Early In-person at the Nelson County Registrar’s Office 571 Front Street, Lovingston (Sept. 18 - Oct. 31).

3.   Vote In-Person on Election Day (Nov 3).

If you’re concerned about COVID and want to exercise your right to vote as safely as possible, Voting by Mail is your safest bet!

Voting Early in Person is also a good option! You’ll miss lines and voters will be dispersed across 45 days.

If you plan on Voting by Mail for this November election, do the following to help ensure your ballot is accepted!!
1. Request your ballot NOW. (Yes, I know it’s August but do it now!)
2. Precisely follow the instructions! If anything is unclear, call our Nelson County Registrar’s Office 434-263-7190.

3.  Mail the ballot AS SOON AS POSSIBLE after you receive it.
